A good sports/entertainment complex is nothing if not versatile, and you can tell by its calendar of events that the Rose Garden is one of the more versatile venues on the West Coast. The elaborately designed home of the NBA's Portland Trailblazers also hosts college basketball, junior league pro hockey, indoor track and field, major concerts, monster truck rallies and much more.

The arena is across the Willamette River from downtown Portland, between the Broadway and Steel bridges. Memorial Coliseum, where the Blazers played until the 1995-1996 season, is adjacent to the Rose Garden Arena.

The main attraction - the so-called Acoustical Cloud, which customizes the sound quality to fit specific entertainment events, is made up of eight rows of 20 panels suspended above the event floor. The two-sided panels can be adjusted. Their hard sides face the floor during a basketball game, bouncing the sounds of the game and the crowd back to their source. The panels' soft sides are pointed downward for a concert, minimizing extraneous noise.

From the midst of the Rose Quarter near the banks of the Willamette River opposite of downtown Portland, the Rose Garden in person appears to be just attractive in person as its name would suggest.

Concessions
A wealth of restaurants, food carts and wandering vendors are available for hungry patrons. The Blaze has great burgers, and the Houndog is the place to go for hot dogs.

Parking
For events, over 2600 parking spaces are available on the Rose Quarter campus:
Garden Garage: 1152 total spaces including 26 disabled spaces. The Garden Garage is physically attached to the north end of the Rose Garden. During Trail Blazers events, Suite patrons, Preferred, and sponsors will have exclusive access to the Garden Garage.

Directions

From I-5 North:
Take the Rose Quarter exit, left on Broadway at second light, left on Vancouver Avenue at second light.

From I-5 South:
Take Rose Quarter exit, proceed through two lights, enter parking garages as directed.

From I-84 West:
Take Rose Quarter exit.

From Highway 26:
Take I-405 North/Seattle exit.
