Oriole Park at Camden Yards is a baseball stadium located in Baltimore, Maryland. It is home to the Baltimore Orioles. It is located at the corner of downtown Baltimore and is near the Inner Harbor. The one-time railroad center, Camden Yards, is 12 minutes by foot from the City’s Inner Harbor and only two blocks from the birthplace of baseball’s most legendary hero, George Herman “Babe” Ruth. Ruth’s father operated Ruth’s Café on the ground floor of the family residence located at Conway Street and Little Paca, which is now center field at Oriole Park!

Oriole Park Historical Moments

The ballpark opened on April 6, 1992 against the Cleveland Indians.
Oriole Park at Camden Yards hosted the 1993 MLB All-Star Game.
On June 18, 1994 43 fans were injured in an escalator accident when it jerked back throwing passengers to the bottom landing.
In September of 1995 Cal Ripken Jr. had his record setting 2,131st consecutive game and exactly a year later Eddie Murray blasted his 500th home run.
There has only been one no-hitter thrown at Oriole Park at Camden Yards to date and that was by Hideo Nomo when he was with the Boston Red Sox on April 4, 2001. He faced 30 Oriole batters walking Mike Bordick twice and Chris Richard once as the Red Sox won 3-0.

Weather
April and September are unpredictable: Temperatures can swing to either extreme, but those months may also offer gorgeous weather. The one sure bet is the heavy humidity during the summer months. Club suites are a good deal in hot weather because they are air conditioned.

Concessions

Past Times Restaurant has a café atmosphere with specialties like Maryland crab cakes, pizza, salads, and much more.
Concession stands including three deli/bars are located throughout the upper and lower levels which offer a wide variety of your favorite ballpark snacks.
Club level has six full service bars and five concession stands.
The Camden Club is a dining and entertainment facility located on the top floors of the Warehouse with a great view of the playing field.

Parking
Parking is available next to the ballpark, however if you want to stay away from the congestion you'll have to factor in a 10-15 minute walk from a standard parking area.

Directions
Public Transportation:
More than 20 bus lines go within 4 blocks of the stadium. Take the Metro to Lexinton Market or Charles Center stations, and pick up a shuttle to the park.

By car:
Take MD 295, I-83, or US 40 to downtown Baltimore, or I-95 to exit 53, 52, or 51.
