With a design similar to newer arenas in Philadelphia, Boston and Washington, DC, the 19,452-seat Bank Atlantic Center will likely never be considered a classic, but it is functional and well laid out. The arena is spacious and clean, but there's really not much fun or attractive about it. Except, perhaps, for the walk from the parking lot to the entrance, where tall light posts glow in all shades of green, giving the impression of flying saucers. And of course there are the palm trees, which, while commonplace in South Florida, can't help but seem out of place at an ice-hockey arena.
Once inside, you'll find the arena has four main levels, and all seats have a decent view. As for the amenities, the sound system produces great sound quality -- there are no echoing or high-pitched sounds to deal with -- and the concourses and numerous restrooms are always clean.
The arena is located in Sunrise, Florida, across from the huge Sawgrass Mills Shopping Outlet. This is a central location, easily accessible to the 4.5 million combined residents of Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. In addition, the arena is less than a 90-minute drive from Naples, Florida, the hub of the state's growing west coast.
Concessions
Food and beverage services include a fine-dining restaurant, two sports-themed bars and, most importantly, six major food courts, located both on the main-concourse and upper-concourse levels.
Parking
General parking is available for any event at the Bank Atlantic Center. Parking lots open two hours before the game. Please note that Sunrise City Code prohibits tailgating. Parking lots are patrolled by security for one hour after each game. You may decide to park across the street at Sawgrass Mills and walk over to the event. The Sawgrass Mills mall security rarely hassles the arena patrons that park across the street, and there are Sunrise Police Officers there to escort you across the Panther Parkway.

Directions
From West Palm Beach and Boca Raton:
Take I-95 to the SW 10th Street exit and proceed West to the Sawgrass Expressway
Take the Sawgrass Expressway South to the Oakland Park Boulevard exit
After toll plaza, make a left turn onto Oakland Park Boulevard and proceed to the far right lane
Make a right turn onto Flamingo Road
Proceed on Flamingo Road in either of the two right lanes for one block and make a right turn at the traffic signal onto Panther Parkway (136th Ave.)
The Bank Atlantic Center is a 1/2 mile South on the right
Stay in the far right lanes and enter through GATE 3. Park as directed.
From the North on the Sawgrass Expressway (State Route 869):
Take the Sawgrass Expressway South to the Oakland Park Boulevard exit
After toll plaza, make a left turn onto Oakland Park Boulevard and proceed to the far right lane
Make a right turn onto Flamingo Road
Proceed on Flamingo Road in either of the two right lanes for one block and make a right turn at the traffic signal onto Panther Parkway (136th Ave.)
The Bank Atlantic Center is a 1/2 mile South on the right
Stay in the far right lanes and enter through GATE 3. Park as directed.
From the South on the Sawgrass Expressway (State Route 869):
Take the Sawgrass Expressway North to the Pat Salerno Drive exit
Proceed through the toll plaza and stay in the far right 2 lanes
Exit to the right at Pat Salerno Drive directly into the Bank Atlantic Center at GATE 1 or GATE 2. Park as directed.
From Fort Lauderdale on Interstate 595 East:
Take I-595 West to Exit 1A (136th Ave.) and proceed North
136th Ave will eventually turn into Panther Parkway
The Bank Atlantic Center is one mile North of Sunrise Boulevard on the left
Stay in the left lane and enter through GATE 7. Park as directed.
From the South on Interstate 75:
Take the Palmetto Expressway or Florida Turnpike Extension to Interstate 75 North to the Sawgrass Expressway (Exit 10)
(Follow signs for Sawgrass Expressway, West Palm Beach and Coral Springs)
Take Exit 10 and enter the Sawgrass Expressway
Proceed through the toll plaza and stay in the far right 2 lanes
Exit to the right at Pat Salerno Drive directly into the Bank Atlantic Center at GATE 1 or GATE 2. Park as directed.
From Interstate 95:
Take I-95 North or South to I-595 and follow directions from I-595.
