Auburn Tigers
For the first time in recent memory, the Auburn Tigers enter a football season without a household name in their offensive backfield. No Kenny Irons, Cadillac Williams or Ronnie Brown means the Auburn backfield, for the first time in a while, doesn't have a running back that's being talked about for postseason awards. But, Coach Tommy Tuberville doesn't seem that worried. Does he know something we don't?

While the SEC's other Tiger team may not have the most recognizable backfield in the SEC, it would be unwise to think there isn't any talent there either. Remember, this is Auburn Football we are talking about. One name you'll be hearing a lot of in the 2007 season is Ben Tate, a sophomore running back who received some publicity last year when he made the Freshman All-America Honorable Mention team.

The Tigers do have experience at quarterback as senior Brandon Cox takes the field; however, his offensive line has some young players manning the position, meaning it looks like it may be a reloading year for Auburn. But hey, as long as they beat Alabama, everything is fine. Just ask a Tiger fan. Will you be there when the Nick Saban-led Tide comes to Jordan-Hare Stadium?

Tigers in the NFL
Auburn had five players picked in the 2005 NFL Draft with four going in the top 25. Auburn is tied with Miami for the second most Top 5 NFL Draft picks in the last six years. It is known as "Runningback U" with many former Tigers playing on Sundays; Stephen Davis, Rudi Johnson, Heath Evans, Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams, Brandon Jacobs, and Kenny Irons.

Jordan-Hare Stadium
This is the nation's eighth largest on-campus facility and is entering its 65th year as home to the Auburn Tigers! Auburn becomes the Alabama's fifth largest city on game days. It has sold more than 75,000 season tickets to home games in each of the last 11 years. The stadium is named after Ralph "Shug" Jordan who is Auburn's winningest football coach and Clifford Leroy Hare who is a member of Auburn's first football team, president of the old Southern Conference, and longtime chairman of Auburn's Faculty Athletic Committee. The stadium has a seating capacity of 87,451.
