Bulls fans, how do you plan on welcoming Stan Heath this year? Are you going to welcome him with open arms, something his previous fanbase didn't accomplish, even after successful seasons? Or are you going to turn on him the way his previous administration did? Considering his coaching pedigree, it would be a surprise if Coach Heath didn't receive a warm welcome. However, warm welcomes are only as good as your record. Will he be able to turn the South Florida program around and keep up with the suddenly hot South Florida football team?

After reading Coach Heath's comments about the upcoming season, you are left with the distinct feeling he's not considering the rebuilding label for South Florida. He thinks his team can compete this year and with Kentrell Gransberry manning the middle, he may be right. Gransberry was the only player in the Big East to average a double-double last year and he's looking for bigger and better things in the upcoming season. Joining Gransberry will be Chris Howard, who is a smart playmaker, manning the point guard position. Howard will be paired with the sweet shooting sophomore Solomon Bozeman. Power forward Aris Williams and small forward Amu Saaka round out the South Florida frontline.

Unfortunately, the Bulls will have a hard time competing in the Big East until Coach Heath stabilizes the talent differential between his team and the rest of the conference. While he does have two solid players in his starting five, it's probably not enough to stand toe-to-toe with the rest of their Big East opponents. However, there is something to be said about supporting your team through thick and thin and being able to enjoy the spoils when they do improve. Make sure you don't miss a game as the Bulls try to gain some prominence in one of the toughest conferences in sports.
